About Us

Hi there. My name is Eleanor Godley and I am Honeydew Photography. I take the photos. I take the phone calls. I edit the photos and do the marketing. I am a blogger, social media try-hard, studio cleaner, and general odd body.

My studio is at the back of my home in a converted garage. The parking is easy, it’s on the street. Unfortunately, I no longer own any chickens that I have shown here. (It was either my husband or the chickens 😂) 

Here is a bit of history on the name. I decided in 2006 to find a name for my business that was sweet and a bit passionate. My husband and I came up with the name Honeydew Photography. Needless to say, at the time I thought it would be unique. But not so, Honeydew is a popular name, who would have thought! Anyway, enough about the name.

You will find that I am a bit of a homebody and will recommend most shoots for the studio but I will suggest a location shoot, especially when shooting families or couples when I think you would benefit more from it.

I enjoy music. I love watching live music. This year’s highlight is when we finally were able to go out and watch live music again, What a treat!!!

I have recently completed a photo book to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and a calendar to raise funds for The Kids Cancer Project. Do you have a favourite charity? Would you like to suggest a partnership to raise money?

I am in the process of becoming a volunteer for Starlight Children’s Foundation at Randwick Children’s hospital. In order to volunteer, I now have a police check, WWCC, all my immunisations are up to date, now I’m just waiting for my Pfizer jab.

And I also have a current First Aid certificate. I have been featured in Shutterturf’s top family photographers in Sydney
