Beach Family Photoshoot
This is the 3rd time I have photographed Mother and son. First time when the little boy was still only rolling, about 3 months old. Then at 3 years old with his stuffed toy. Mum and son are both so adorable and for this shoot, I met up with the rest of their family.
Oh, and I found out that mum is a triplet!
The shoot was on that really hot Saturday at Maroubra Beach the last weekend in November.
I was surprised we all found a spot to park the in the overflow car park. There seemed to be thousands still on the beach and even more having parties in the park.
A beautiful cool north easterly was blowing but with that, of course, brings uncontrollable hair!
The sea mist was thick and coated my lens as quick as a flash. I needed to constantly clean my lens to avoid the soft-focus look.
But I’m telling you, there is nothing better to be out on the beach, on the hottest day of the year, with a beautiful family dodging the surfers, walkers and bathers.
It really is a delight! To see what else we do, please click on family photos. If you would like to give a gift voucher, have a look at our sale on gift vouchers.
Here is a small sample of what we got up to.

Not that we encourage you to swim. At least we will know the direction of the wind.
We meet close to the South Maroubra Surf Club. Usually, parking is a breeze as we do shoot last light of the day when most people go home to eat.
You need to remember that it will be windy. If you are at all worried about your hair flying wildly (and it will) best to make other arrangments. Perhaps Centennial Park will be more to your liking.
Or if you prefer to shoot during the day without crowds, there is always my studio in Eastgardens which is airconditioned and is accessible most times of the day.
What are you giving for your loved ones as a Xmas gift?
